Early Stage Researcher Simulation of X-Ray Computed Tomography Systems

DUTIES

  • Collaboration in xCTing, a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Network project of the X-ray computed tomography research group starting in March 2021
  • Development and advancement of CT simulation methods
  • Development of novel uncertainty quantification and visualization techniques
  • Carrying out reference measurements on our state-of-the-art CT systems and analysis of 2D, 3D and simulated CT data
  • Publication activities and participation in international conferences, xCTing trainings and network meetings
  • Possibility of obtaining a doctorate in cooperation with a partner university

PROFILE

  • Completed relevant university degree programme at master level (computer science, visual computing, medical informatics, software engineering, metrology, physics, mathematics, materials sciences, etc.)
  • Experienced in software development with C++
  • Interested in simulation
  • Interested in visualization and visual data analysis
  • Autonomous, target oriented and analytic working style

We are trying to enhance the proportion of female teaching and research staff. With this in mind we particularly encourage women to apply for this position. Salary: from € 2,800 gross per month/depending on qualification. Due to labour law we need to emphasize that we can not refund any incurred costs which have arisen in the course of the interview. This position is limited to three years. Due to MSCA, applicants must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Austria for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to this recruitment.
